Emme was so proud of her first cast, even if she had to get her hand stepped on by a horse. But hey, if you’re going to be a jockey someday, you’re going to fall off a horse … get dragged underneath … have it step on your foot … and then your hand.
Probably.
Come to think of it, she wasn’t even riding it at the moment. She was leading it from the stable to the riding ring, when it turned for some grass and pulled Emme along, making her trip, get stepped on, fall and then get stepped on again.
She was fine, in the end.
Lucky girl — to have a horse step on your hand and not break anything at all. Weird. But we’ll take it. Before she left for the hospital, she wanted to go see the horse first, just to let him know she was going to be ok and she wasn’t angry with him. Whatever horses are doing to the girl, they’re at least doing something right.

I think *you’re* the one doing something right. What a sweetheart. (I got my foot stepped on by a clydesdale when putting his bridle on when I was 12 or so.) After wearing slippers to school for a day or so — couldn’t fit that foot in a shoe — I was fine.
Awesome
Yes, horses are good for young girls
Kept me on the straight and narrow!
