So. much. going. on.
I don’t know about you, but the holidays are all at once the best of times and the most hectic of times. Between school, parties, shopping, making gifts, sports, you name it, it feels like we’re being pulled in a thousand directions, when all we really want to do is just shut down, enjoy the cold, and chill.
At least, that’s what I want to do.
I wake up an hour before the family, just so I can get some work done and prepare for the day in blissful silence. Lunches are packed. Lists are made and quickly checked off. By the time the kid wakes up, I feel like there’s time to hang for a bit most days, as opposed to rushing around.
That’s the gist of this video I created as part of the Serta mattress campaign. You may recall we received an icomfort mattress, and while I immediately took to it, Dana remains unconvinced.
Yes, still.
Sorry, Serta. But that’s how it goes: I’m a huge fan who has never slept better, and Dana thinks you have it out for her somehow.
That said, we’re keeping it. (I win! Yes!)
The funny thing is that no matter the mattress, I’ve come to realize that the bed is the nucleus for so much family fun. Innocent family fun, I mean. We read in it, snuggle in it, recharge in it.
Take a look.

While I used to be able to sleep on the floor as a young buck, this old frame needs a soft place to bed down for the night. I couldn’t agree more. It’s all about the mattress. After one that dipped so bad in the middle that we lost a child or two, we now have one that hit the mark.
Later,
Jason
Helluva a photo. Loved the framing of daughter and dog. Conveys your family in one simple shot (I’m trying, mostly failing, to do same). As for the mattress, my reaction is my wife won’t even get in or let my son in…she thinks it has bed bugs (we’re on our second mattress, and it’s covered in a zipped plastic case). So, yeah, you got it good, real good.
