A sidewalk tragedy — in photos

All Emmeline wanted to do was hug this beloved horse in this alley. But the curb — “the stupid curb!” as she said — was so, so high. I’m wondering now if I should have done something more productive than pressing the shutter 20 times.

On a completely different note, I had some internal work done on this monstrosity of a blog this weekend, and so if you can’t see it or I dropped you from a feed, my apologies. It should be working better now.

[UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who wrote. I do appreciate your concern about my daughter's safety. But let me be clear: She was fine. It was an 8-inch fall. She wanted to do it again. And she probably will many, many times to come.]

STUpid sidewalk!

I don’t know how many times Tiggy has done this, and how many times we’ve kissed her raw little hands and sent for ‘emergency cream’ to make it feel better. Perfectly shot!

“Emergency cream.” I’ll have to remember that one.

Good job, Dad! I, um, photo the carnage before I pick it up, too. I can’t help it because it’s so funny! Jillian trips over things: toys, furniture, air, whathaveyou and flails around all hysterically like an NBA player. It’s hilarious.

Thanks for that. For a moment, I almost thought I was the only one.

Classic photos. I love the second one, good composition, and of course the action. I can’t wait to shoot my kid in precarious situations.

I was wondering what happened. I read all my blogs through Google Reader and I finally got a chance to catch up. I see only one entry from you. I think “sweet, I’ll be caught up in no time!”. Well, now I have the new feed. 1 down, 9 more to go. Have a great weekend!
